Welcome, this is how it all begins…
Welcome to The Glez Life!
My name is Aliser, I bet you’ve never heard this name before. My name is a combination of my mom and my dad’s first 3 letters of their names: ALIcia & SERgio, they are literally in my life every single day forever and ever. I’m inspired by that, let me tell you why.
I wish I knew my parents when they were young. I wish I knew what they were thinking when they came up with my name. I wish they had a journal or a diary of their younger years.
The memories I have from my parents are MY memories, not theirs, so I really just have 33.33% of the story because my father owns the other 33.33% and my mother owns her own 33.33%.
What if I changed that and blogged today for my kids? In a few years they can have a peek at our lives from my perspective and I get to stop this cycle of the unknown.
This blog begins with the idea of sharing my 33.33% in each of my children’s lives. I might be able to share a little bit of Luis’s 33.33% too; we’ll see. I am determined to live one day at a time and make the most of it every single day. I am already struggling with some memory loss after 2 pregnancies. Oh boy, when people say that kids suck the life out of you, they are NOT kidding…
With my job, death is brought to my attention often. I make personalized silver jewelry with fingerprints, paw prints, handwriting, kids drawings, footprints, etc.
I’ve had amazing clients that have experienced many types of losses.
This has allowed me to appreciate and respect life more than before, I do not take for granted the gift of waking up next to a husband that also woke up and then have my children open their beautiful eyes every morning and come to my bed to give me a kiss and a hug. I live ONE DAY at a TIME and the purpose of my blog is to document it so we can get as close as possible to the 99.99% of the story.
Imagine the value of my content if:
b)I have Alzheimer’s disease
c)I get amnesia
d)I grow to be old and wise and get to see my children become adults, maybe parents, maybe I become a grandmother, maybe not. But what if I did become a grandmother. What if I am able to share different stories throughout the future years, stories that we read from this blog, full of all types of emotions, happiness, worries, sadness, success. My children will also get to know about their youngest years.
Hoping, praying and visualizing that life leads us to letters D) and our family is blessed with a long, healthy life, with this blog, I give my thoughts, emotions and time for you; Camila and Luca so you get to know The Glez Life.
