Art For Living
I am an artist at heart, I am drawn to all types of art; paint, photography, writing, reading, music, acting, film, editing videos, blogging, vlogging, crafts with my children, interior decorating, creating, etc.
When Luca was born I knew I didn’t want to go back to a 9-5 job, specially working as an administrative assistant where art wasn’t part of my job description.
On October 2015 at a baby show, the possibility of owning a creative business was presented to me and I immediately was in love with it.
It ticked all the boxes of what I wanted in a business.
•It is art
•It is meaningful
•It will help or change people’s lives.
•It allows me to work from home and enjoy my family and be my own boss
I went for it and said yes to being a mompreneur.
I am the proud owner of Smallprint in the Airdrie, Calgary North and Chestermere territory since 2016.
My job no longer feels like a job, it feels like an opportunity to fulfill my purpose of helping others in this journey of life and at the same time fulfill my need for art.
Smallprint is personalized, handmade silver jewelry made from your loved one’s prints, handwriting, drawings, etc.
“Art is all just perfectly imperfect.
Once the word Art enters the description of what you’re up to, it is almost like getting a hall pass from perfection. It thankfully releases us from any expectation of perfection. In relation to my own work not being perfect, I just always point to the tattered box behind the couch and mention the word Art, and people seem to understand and let you off the hook about being perfect and go back to their business.” – Nicholas Wilton
I am Aliser, art lover and owner of Smallprint. I create custom silver pieces & host quarterly tea parties to celebrate mothers and daugthers in communities across Alberta. Reach out if you'd like to host one.
